We are located in downtown Ely, the big brick building with the burro painted on the side.
Ely’s airport is Yelland Field, a short distance north of the city on US 93. There is no bus connection to Ely, and the railroad is purely local. Consequently, most people who come to Ely drive.

Ely is at the intersection of three major US Highways.
US 93 is a major north-south route connecting Canada and Mexico, a favorite route of the snowbirds “flying south” for the winter. Many of them nest with us for a few nights along their way.
US 50 has been called “America’s Loneliest Highway,” and connects Great Basin National Park with Lake Tahoe on the route of the Pony Express and the Overland Stage.
US 6, the real Loneliest Highway, covers 297 miles of Nevada with only three communities of 100 people or more along the way. The Great New York to Paris Automobile Race of 1908 took this route.
